The Tunturi Smart Jump Rope can be used without an app, but works best with Skipjoy. This app is free to download and use on both iOS and Android. Create a profile and you'll be ready to start in a minute.

Free app with workouts, overviews and challenges
In the app you will find ready-made workouts - from warm-ups and stretches to workouts for speed and fitness. The app keeps track of all your training data: after each program, you see the total time, numbers of calories burned, total number of jumps and the speed of your jumps (RPM). Easily scroll back by day, week, month and year and see your progress in a complete overview. For extra challenges and motivation, you can earn medals by completing various 'challenges'.

Working out offline sometime? Then the data will be stored in the skipping rope itself. If you connect it to the app later, everything syncs automatically.

Work out comfortably with a tailor-made skipping rope
It is important that your jumping rope offers a good grip and has the right length. Like a speedrope, the Smart Jump Rope has a slim handle. This makes it comfortable to hold and offers extra grip. The Smart Jump Rope has a high-quality steel cable that is only 3 mm thin. This makes it wear-resistant and therefore it lasts longer than comparable jump ropes, whose ropes are mostly made of thicker plastic. The steel cable is fully adjustable to size. As a result, it never drags too far along the ground and you don't have to spread your arms too far apart to make the right arc.

How do you determine the right length?
1. Attach the steel cable to the handles using the supplied manual.
2. Stand with both feet at the centre of the jumping rope. Check that each end of the cable has the same length from the centre point.
3. Pull the cable tight and hold the handles securely. Look down.
4. Move the handles up or down until they are level with your sternum.
5. Adjust the length of the cable by pulling the rope through the handles.

Four different training modes
The Tunturi Smart Jump Rope features 4 different training programs/modes:

1. Free skipping. Free training, with no limit on time or number of jumps.
2. Time countdown. Make as many jumps as possible in the chosen time: 30 seconds, 1 minute, 5 minutes, 10 minutes or set your own time via the app.
3. Jump countdown. Jump the chosen number of jumps as quickly as possible: 50, 100, 500 or 1,000 or set your own via the app.
4. HIIT mode. Train with one of the preset interval programs.

Finished working out? The skipping rope automatically switches off after 60 seconds. Charging is simple via the included USB-A to USB-C cable.
